Our standards

Listing standards

• Listings must describe a real business operating on the East End, in the business's own words and photos.
• Every new listing and every change to a live listing is reviewed before publishing.
• Approval is not verification. We don't confirm licenses, insurance, or credentials unless a page says so explicitly.
• We don't publish ratings, reviews, or testimonials.
• Free listings are limited to 50 per service category; spots are assigned at approval.

Editorial standards

• Hiring guides are written to help readers compare providers and never quote invented prices.
• Guides are published only after the editor reviews them, and show the date of that review.
• We don't automatically publish AI-generated text.

Advertising disclosure

• Paid listings are labeled “Featured” or “Sponsored.” Banner ads are labeled “Advertisement.”
• Paid placement never overrides relevance: a sponsored listing appears only for its own category and towns.
• Advertising links carry a sponsored attribute.
